Election results

We did it. Thanks to a last minute push by a few volunteers who walked the neighborhoods (THANK YOU!) we did get a quorum. The results were announced at the HOA meeting last night. In summary:

3 Candidates for 2 Open positions

586 Homes
195 Needed for Quorum
258 Ballots Cast
8 Voided Ballots

Mark Baker 55
Deb McSherry 197 – ELECTED
Walt Tibbet 192 – ELECTED

IRS Resolution
148 – Yes – PASSED
65 – No

In addition the board gave committee reports and held the open forum. There were no new significant issues discussed by the board. However, there was a lively discussion about the disruptive mess which continues at the building site of the seven town houses on Morgan Creek Lane, nearly 2 years and counting! Attendees were told it would be several months or more before completion. The board was urged document our position and to push harder to explore our options with the county.

Next meeting in March.

WE’RE STILL SHORT-SO HERE’S an easy way to vote-no excuses

In spite of all the urging to vote we still do not have a quorum for next Tuesday’s election. So here’s the deal:

Starting at 9 pm tonight there will be ballots available at the Vineyard Gate. There will also be a lockbox there where you can drop the ballot off. You can do it all with one visit if you want. Couldn’t be easier!

If we need a redo, it means paying for another mailing from an independent mail house, a paid ballot counter to come to a subesquent meeting (new State law), to say nothing of the aggrivation.

IT’S YOUR MONEY. WE’RE TALKING OF EXTRA COSTS IN THE THOUSANDS $$$. TO US IT’S A NO BRAINER. WHAT ABOUT YOU?

Still time to vote

Your vote is needed to elect new board members. We must have a quorum or do an expensive redo. Mail your ballot today or come to the meeting on Tuesday night, January 21, 6:30 pm at Sierra View Country Club and vote in person.

The HOA is YOUR ORGANIZATION. Participate!

VOte! Vote vote!

By now you should have received your ballots for the election of three new board members. You need to send them in pronto. The deadline for receipt is January 21.

If you don’t vote, your dues may increase. We must have a quorum to validate the election. If not, we will need a do over. That means costs of another mailing, more expense, and potentially higher dues! IT’S YOUR MONEY. YOU MAKE THE CALL!!
