Morgan Creek Homeowners Coalition (MCHC)

The MCHC is a group of concerned homeowners who believe that there is inadequate information flowing to the owners about significant issues facing Morgan Creek, primarily the status and future of the Morgan Creek Golf Course.  The group has published a newsletter and started this BLOG in order to get timely information out to homeowners who are interested. The founding members believed that homeowners were not receiving sufficient and timely information to make informed decisions. The MCHC is attempting to fill the gap. The MCHC has no official role and is not sanctioned or affiliated with the HOA or the HOA Board of Directors in any way.

Below are a few questions and answers concerning the MCHC activities.

Q & A:  What is the goal of the MCHC? The current primary goal of the MCHC is to keep the full golf course open and operating or, failing that, to prevent alternate uses of the land which might damage the lifestyle and property values of the homeowners. To do that we collect and distribute credible information, conduct research, explore strategies and communicate back to interested residents and the HOA Board.  Communication is primarily through but not limited to this blog.

Q & A:  Who is on the current MCHC? The group is composed of a relatively small number of homeowners who want to take an active role in preserving our community, its lifestyle and its property values.  The group is acting in the open.  Some members of the group have agreed to act as points of contact to provide more information, one on one, should you prefer a more personal approach.  Their names and contact information appear below.

Q & A:  Can I join the MCHC?  Our group believes we can be more effective by keeping membership small for now.  However, we are willing to expand for individuals with particular skills who have the time and desire to participate. Specifically, we are looking for attorneys, lobbyists, writers, social media managers, journalists, media professionals, environmentalists and/or local elected officials. If you have any of the career experience, please use the contacts page of this blog or contact one of the individuals listed below.

Q & A:  How is the MCHC funded? Currently the group’s expenses (printing, web site set-up, flyer distribution, etc.) had been donated by a few founding members. For now, expenses are covered by its membership.
