Ballots have been sent out to all homeowners for the election of three new board members to be seated in January. Although we have not confirmed this, we have heard from a reliable source that since the ballots were not prepared correctly (a check box was missing which would allow for cumulative voting as allowed by our bylaws) new ballots will need to be distributed. Stay tuned.
Regardless of the above, so much is happening now in our community that it needs your participation. Please, please vote. You will be selecting a board majority which will significantly influence the direction taken on major issues. Your vote does make a difference!
Although we have seen no formal announcement other than the proposed 2019 budget, it appear that homeowners assessments are set to increase by approximately 15% effective January 1. Proposed budgets were sent to all homeowners by mail. It would have been helpful to see a side by side comparison of actual 2018 expenditures to help see where the money is going. We are confident the Board will provide more details in the coming weeks.
The HOA Board has sent out an informational letter on “Town Square”. The letter discuses a proposal submitted to Morgan Creek LLC regarding changes to the golf course. It also addresses changes to the HOA Board. For those who have not signed up for access to that service the letter has been posted here:
