An event is planned for August 1 for Morgan Creek and Morgan Greens. Called National Night Out, it is sponsored by a non-profit operating since 1986. It is designed to bring together the community and the police to foster a better understanding. It is being held at Parkstone Park on the south side.
While we are in no way sponsoring the event, it does sound worthwhile so we are posting the announcement as a community service. Sounds like a fun and informative event.
National Night Out provides an excellent platform for us to engage our public safety providers and develop good working relationships. Our BOD and Community Manager should be fully engaged in this event and encourage homeowner involvement.
For the hundreds of residents that did not take the time to come to National Night Out it was a great success. Yes Bonnie Gore was there as well as all the different policing departments, helicopter overhead, fire engines, the works. The music was wonderful, kids had a great time playing games with the Sheriffs and climbing on Fire Engines. This type of community event is nice to bring us together. I appreciate Tami Condie for all her hard work on this!! Our HOA manager, Machelle, attended and President of our HOA Board, Marge.
