CALL FOR HELP

This newsletter is being published independently as a service to the homeowners of Morgan Creek.  We believed that, armed with facts and a community voice we can protect our investment in our community and continue to maintain it at the high level it currently enjoys.

The group which publishes this newsletter would like to find a practicing attorney who lives here and would be willing to informally provide general help and guidance on what legal rights we have as homeowners should any of the above rumors turn to fact.  If you can help, please contact Jim at jadrainc@yahoo.com or call 916-765-3446.

I support increasing the homeowner dues up to $40 to assist in maintaining the golf course.

  3. This site needs to be made private; if you google https://www.google.com/search?q=charlie+gibson+morgan+creek&ei=CQj9Wu6aO4uZ0gKb8JH4CA&start=20&sa=N&biw=956&bih=622

guess what – you have now made this so public…. now potential home buyers are going to be scared away from buying here. We are airing our dirty laundry on the internet; please lock this site down and make it private. I sent you the image of the search results. I think this site can be useful and help people share thoughts and information… but nothing is set in stone and this can have a bad side effect…

    1. You raise a good point. We carefully weighed the pros and cons of a public vs private blog. However, since the golf course owners have been very public in their request for subsidies and their threat of closure so anyone buying here would likely need to have that disclosed in the transaction (realtors, chime in if you like). The downside of a private site is making it difficult to get to all potential users, thus defeating the purpose, namely, open communications. Our HOA board will not share its email list so there is no easy way to reach everyone. There is also a benefit in sharing our experience with other communities experiencing similar threats. There are definite synergies (google “golf course closures”).
