placer mac meeting wed night – hoa golf course opposition to be expressed by HOA

Tomorrow night, Wednesday, at 6:30 pm the West Placer MAC will meet via Webinar. Although Morgan Creek LLC’s golf course plans are not on the agenda, one of our HOA Board members plans to address our Community concerns and opposition.

For those not familiar, the West Placer Municipal Advisory Council is a long standing formally organized citizens group set up to advise Placer County government on the community’s views on development plans. It has significant input to the County’s master plans, both general and specific. Anyone with an interest can get involved and should do so. We encourage you to join the meeting.

The public may observe and participate in this meeting by accessing the following: https://placer-ca-gov.zoom.us/j/94562617149. Members of the public may access meeting audio by calling 1-877-853-5247 (Toll Free) or 1-888-788-0099 (Toll Free)
Conference ID: 945 6261 7149.

  1. Is this blog recommending we do the zoom call or go in person to the live meeting where the HOA Board will be holding a meeting tomorrow March 10th at 6:30pm at Creekview Ranch School to discuss it’s plans. It seems to me that it would be more important to hear what our HOA has to say as they are the ones representing our community and opposition to the building of the 79 homes? In addition, zoom meetings are usually taped so the community should be able to get a copy of the zoom meeting which could then be disseminated to all the homeowners in the community.

    1. The Town Sq post was inaccurate. There is no HOA meeting. It was referring to the MAC meeting. It is not in person due to COVID. You’re encouraged to join the MAC webinar.

  2. Derek,

I believe the ONLY meeting is the virtual meeting being held by the MAC. One of our Board members will be speaking during the public comment section of the agenda. Morgan Creek homeowners are being encouraged to attend by zoom or audio. The message on Town Square was unclear and confusing. If I am incorrect, would someone please give us the complete picture. Like Derek, my wife and I were planning to attend the meeting that was being held at Creekview Ranch School.

  3. We need clarification on this ASAP. It sounds like there are two different meetings but some here are saying it’s one only. Please advise ASAP so we can plan accordingly!

    1. There is only one Zoom meeting tomorrow and it is a County meeting. The attached was sent. Sorry the in person is canceled until Placer status improves regarding COVID. Next week Tuesday Mar 16th, is the open Morgan Creek HOA meeting and it is Zoom also. A link will be sent through TownSq and this site.

  4. Good Morning,

I apologize for the incorrect information. Please see the attached Flyer. In addition, This is an Advisor Council meeting only via ZOOM. The Board member, via Zoom, will present the community opposition to the building of homes on Morgan Creek Golf Course. This is ONLY an Advisory Council who present new building applications to the community for comment. The Pre-Application from Morgan Creek LLC will not be brought up but the Board Member will still inform the Council that the Morgan Creek Community opposes the building of homes on the Golf Course.

Please attend by Zoom and see the Advisory Council for our area work on other issues which are all important to our community. These meetings have been canceled for many months due to Covid restrictions.

    Sincerely,
